Integrated Policy

NUGNES 1920 SRL, represented by its Management, has decided to implement an Integrated Management System in order to control the impact of its activities, products and services on the environment and safety, and to ensure that the environmental and safety performance of personnel and road traffic comply and continue to comply with legal requirements and company objectives related to the integrated policy, in accordance with the standards UNI EN ISO 9001:2015, UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 and UNI EN ISO 45001:2018.

Management will promote every action aimed at protecting the environment and ensuring safety, ensuring that products and services do not present significant risks to the environment.

In carrying out these functions, Management relies on the support of the Integrated Management Manager, to whom the authority and decision-making autonomy are granted for the activities related to ensuring the effectiveness of the integrated management system.

The present policy includes the following commitments:

  • Comply with applicable laws, environmental regulations and other commitments subscribed to by the organization.
  • Prevent pollution and reduce emissions, waste and the consumption of resources.
  • Define objectives for the continuous improvement of environmental performance.
  • Adopt technological processes that ensure the best environmental impact in both technical and economic terms.
  • Evaluate the environmental aspects of products and production activities and adopt management procedures aimed at minimizing any significant negative environmental impact.
  • Develop training and education programs for all employees to promote and encourage initiatives aimed at protecting the environment.
  • Encourage suppliers to adopt an environmental management system.
  • Communicate with interested parties and involve them where appropriate.
  • Comply with legislation, regulations and company requirements regarding occupational health and safety in order to protect administrative personnel and production department workers.
  • Always carry out preventive evaluations of company factors that may affect workers’ health and safety, and risks that can be avoided through continuous preventive monitoring and careful planning of maintenance activities, thus reducing risks at the source.
  • Affirm that responsibility for the management of Occupational Health and Safety concerns the entire organization, from the Employer to every worker, each according to their roles and responsibilities.
  • Ensure the availability of adequate human, technical and financial resources in order to effectively manage the operational site.
  • Continuously train, inform and raise awareness among all workers so that they are in the best condition to carry out their assigned tasks safely and understand their responsibilities.
  • Commit to periodically reviewing this policy and the implemented management system.
  • Involve and consult collaborators on occupational health and safety matters, also through the Workers’ Safety Representative.
  • Prevent injuries and health damage to workers, including third-party companies that may operate at our workplaces.
  • Define and disseminate within the company the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) objectives and the related implementation programs.

Our management system is based on the concept of continuous improvement. The company aims to constantly improve its performance by designing and adapting processes, operating methods and systems in order to optimize ergonomics, safety and environmental protection.

To strengthen a safety culture already rooted within the organization, we are committed to encouraging employees’ involvement in health and safety matters and decisions.

The SGI Policy document is widely distributed to all personnel through posting on company notice boards. Management periodically reviews this policy and the implemented Integrated Management System in order to assess its correctness, adequacy and effectiveness, also considering both internal and external changes, with a view to continuous improvement and the review of objectives and targets.

This policy provides the framework for establishing and reviewing objectives and targets. It is communicated to all employees and to all persons working on behalf of the organization and is available to the public.
